Built by a former Global Talent Acquisition Leader from high-growth, agile technology environments, Ames Consulting is an embedded, founder-led executive search practice. We bring the strategic depth, speed, and precision of an internal talent leader combined with the borderless reach of an elite search boutique.
Our Founder
Ames Consulting was founded by Amy Choong, a seasoned Talent Acquisition leader with over a decade of experience building teams and scaling hiring for global technology enterprises.
Amy brings a proven track record of designing and executing talent acquisition strategies from scratch in hyper-growth environments. As Global Head of Talent Acquisition at ShopBack, she partnered directly with executive leadership to scale the company from 200 to over 1,000 employees globally. Earlier in her career at Sea Group, Amy spearheaded multi-functional recruitment across APAC, establishing the core teams critical to driving the company’s successful NYSE IPO.
Identifying a gap for true practitioner-led search, she founded Ames Consulting to provide global tech leaders with a direct, high-touch talent partner - delivering everything from foundational team build-outs to business-critical executive hires.
